Beach Walk #308 – Ode to Thank You Notes

Rainy day so I've been catching up on thank you notes; it's a nice way to keep the energy flowing I think.

Some people think it is old-fashioned, but I am still a proponent. I don't think gratitude goes out of style!

Curiously enough, I did two takes on this. There was a couple in the car next to me who started having a loud fight, and I wanted to spare us all that. Yes, even in Hawai'i people get frustrated and worked up.

Mahalo to the donations that are coming in for Kaimoku. That's for you Steve (both of you!), Jonnie, Dave, Dorothy, Marcia and Nancy. The lead person in the band has a new keiki (child) so this unexpected gift will come in very handy!

All this week we're collecting unofficial royalties for this music we love. Lexi and I hope you will please donate some sand dollars for Kaimoku, now through December 31. And go purchase a CD too so you can have it at home!

Great shot of Lexi at the end... awww, she's so adorable! Speaking of dogs, check my blog for a follow-up on Samson, the Golden. :) Happy New Year!!

I've often wondered what the etiquette is surrounding thank you notes for Christmas/Holiday gifts. I know many people don't write thank you notes for the holidays. But it seems as though you believe it's important Rox. Anyone else have thoughts?

My mom, too, passed on the habit of writing handwritten thank-you notes. I still keep boxes of Crane notes and envelopes for this purpose. Email thankyous are faster and cheaper but I still like sending and receiving a paper one in the mail. It can't get more personal when it's written in the sender's own handwriting :)

I've always written small Notes to people. I think its a great idea. I noticed Lexi's collar... I need to get a collar for Sundance. Are there alot of "Hawaiian themed" dog collars everywhere out there? Haouli Maka Hiki Hou Everyone.

Gratitude is SO important and so often we forget to tell people how much we appreciate the things they do for us! Speaking of gratitude, thank you Rox and Secret Cameraman, for Beach Walks and helping the world stay grateful, grounded and connected! (I still think you should do a show where you hold the camera and secret cameraman talks to us!
I finally bought a Kaimoku CD...I've been wanting one since I first heard your theme music. It's just so beautiful!

    I'm working on Secret Cameraman...

Hey Tommy, I found this web site with really cute aloha kine dog collars. Otherwise, no, the main pet stores have pretty generic dog stuff. They are based in California though :-) .
