"Sticks & stones may break my bones,
But names will ever hurt me" is not a true statement.

I like the idea of re-orienting our thought energies towards clear bliss and pure compassion.
Thanks Roxanne & Shane.

Aloha, aloha!

First of all I echo some of Joe's feelings about the level of composition now. I was remarking about how the 16x9 is being used very effectively as I watched this episode on an HD screen. Is this show 720p yet? Because it looked pretty close to that on the screen!

But more importantly, I found the message about language in this episode very timely. It reflects a lot of thoughts I've been having lately. How do you keep tapping into the collective consciousness so well? ;-)

Roxanne Darling,
It seems like years since I last commented here. It's certainly been months.

It's about 4:30 am and I'm up with insomnia and a restless mind. I figured I'd stop by Beachwalks for a little calming aloha before trying to sleep again. As always you delivered. :)

I wanted to mention that it struck me watching a couple of recent episodes how Shane's videography has developed over the time that I've been stopping in here. Of course, he has the advantage of a beautiful subject and incomparable backgrounds combined with good weather nearly always, but I notice the shots are so nicely and artistically composed now. And I think he makes good use of the new 16x9 aspect ratio; new camera??. David Tames, a friend from Boston Media Makers would say it's the rule of thirds that Shane's observing when placing you in the shots. Whatever the technique,it's certainly working. Well done, Shane! And how the heck are you Rox?

Aloha,
JoeC

Having the waves on the left side of the screen instead of the right even changes the dynamics of the delivery. Thanks for some helpful thoughts here, being cognizant of how energy is projected as we interact with one another. :-)

@Bob from Canada - We were on Maui for a week, but staggering these episodes makes it feel so much longer! We definitely had some major openings of the mind and heart - that's what we went there for. :-)

As to stories, I have become so attuned to the energy in them. Old ones - even fun ones - get boring after they've been told so many times, as if the energy has drained out of them over time. Hot stories - ones that agitate me - also lose their energy over time, and I find actually are best ignored.

Maui is a break from your norm and a retreat as you say..you should absorb that energy and separate it from your normal life on Oahu and recharge yourselves..even though you are only a half hour by plane away it must seem like a different world, less hectic, less populated..I can tell the same story twice..one with little emotion and one with lots of energy and animation..it can sound like a completely different story,so yes I believe connecting with the energy is influential
